Verizon has just announced it will be offering its proprietary VPN service for use on mobile devices. The company dubbed its new VPN software “Safe Wi-Fi.” The service will be priced at 4$/month and support up to 10 simultaneous connections.
However, many potential customers may be wary to use a VPN service from their carrier. Verizon is known for throttling Netflix and YouTube users in the past and constantly introducing alterations to its “unlimited” plans.

Throttling video digital content shouldn’t be an issue with Verizon’s VPN since it’s entirely based on a Wi-Fi connection. However, customers may feel reluctant to entrust Verizon with their Internet security overall.
Verizon is looking to attract new customers by offering a free 30-day trial. The new Safe Wi-Fi service can be found in the My Verizon app under “Products and Devices.”
