Brad Park is my name. These guys are awful. Service does not work for netflix. Then I asked for refund. They said they OK. then the next day they said they can't refund due to "merchant limitations". And they offered me a gift card!!!! Don't sign up. The service is crappy and they are dishonest

A shocking product all round. Constant disconnections, unreliable, shows connected but nothing happens, customer service nice but likerobots. Speeds are terrible a lot of the time. Have to manually disconnect all the time. Have asked for a refund but they refuse as I got a promo deal for 5 years, which is not a legitimate reason not to refund. A huge regret going with them, shady sales tactics. Stay clear of them truly. It's a painful experience and your money is gone

Not sure why some users are complaining about PureVPN. It does everything it is supposed to do and you can barely notice that it's even on. Great speeds, great features, great experience.

The only thing that I don't like about Pure is that it keeps some logs. I'm not really worried about this because I don't do anything illegal online, but still, it would be better if it had a no logging policy.
VyprVPN

Good VPN, but what’s up with the log keeping? They should really think about changing that, they would get a lot more users.

This is the best VPN I’ve ever installed and I’ve installed dozen, just to be clear. It works great at home, it works great when I travel, no complaints whatsoever! Even when I’m abroad it feels like I’m home because I can surf the net without a single obstacle.

I’ve used much, much better VPNs before and Vypr is just nah. It works, yes, but sometimes I wonder whether it works for me or against me. It drops out quite often, makes my internet slow and I can’t even torrent. The only thing I manage to do is to open Facebook when I’m in China, but it’s slow as well.

We’ve been struggling with trashy vpns for years and I was so happy when we discovered Vypr. We’re on premium, so the whole family uses it. Movies are streaming, files are uploading, everything works great.

Winner

Considered one of the best VPN providers, PureVPN will impress you with its selection of features, superb uptime, and some truly great speeds, as well as with its pricing plans and server locations.

Comparison Breakdown

As you will see below in our PureVPN vs. VyprVPN comparison, we have taken into consideration several important factors that every user should focus on when trying to figure out which provider to choose. We will compare apps, prices, security measures, customer support, reliability and other areas that should definitely help you decide between these two providers.

Apps

  • If you opt for PureVPN, you will be able to use this service on Windows, Linux, Mac, iOS, Android, Xbox, and routers. In other words, all major operating systems and platforms, except for Windows Phone.
  • This provider also works with all of the most common operating systems, but it is not supported on Xbox or Windows Phone.

Support Type

  • PureVPN does not offer phone support, but they do have live chat, email support and an excellent knowledgebase and FAQ section.
  • VyprVPN does slightly better in this department since, unlike PureVPN, they do offer phone support as well as other forms of support.

IP Type

  • This provider has some 80,000 IP addresses available for their users, and they offer dedicated IPs too.
  • VyprVPN has much more IPs than PureVPN – 200,000 of them, and, unlike their competitor, they offer dynamic shared IPs.

Pricing Options

  • The one-month subscription with PureVPN costs $11.95. They do not offer a three-month plan but their six-month one costs $8.95. The 2-year plan is their best value, at only $2.91 per month. There is no free trial or free limited version but there is a 7-day money back guarantee. PureVPN accepts Bitcoin.
  • VyprVPN offers two subscription plans, Basic ($5/mo if billed annually; $9.95/mo if billed monthly) and Premium ($6.67/mo if billed annually; $12.95/mo if billed minthly). Unlike PureVPN, they do offer a free trial, albeit only a three-day one, as well as a much lengthier 30-day money back guarantee. However, they do not accept Bitcoin.

Protocols

  • PureVPN offers all the security protocols in use these days, from OpenVPN, which is considered to be the safest, to L2TP, PPTP, and SSTP.
  • With VyprVPN, you can pick between OpenVPN, L2Tp and PPTP, however, unlike PureVPN, they do not include SSTP in their security suite.

Performance & Reliability

  • PureVPN operates some 750+ servers in 141 countries all over the world. This provider allows you to connect up to five devices at the same time, and comes with unlimited server switching, bandwidth and speed. P2P sharing is allowed. The provider is based in Hong Kong.
  • This Switzerland-based provider offers 700+ servers spread across 70+ locations. Furthermore, they offer only three simultaneous connections. The users get unlimited bandwidth, server switching and speed. Unfortunately, this provider does not allow P2P sharing.

Security & Protection

  • PureVPN has some excellent security features, from 1st party DNS servers, kill switch and NAT firewall, to Wi-Fi protection and split tunneling. On the other hand, they do not include any ad or malware blockers and, unfortunately, they do keep some logs. The strongest encryption is AES-256.
  • This provider has pretty much the same security measures as its competitor, except they don’t seem to offer split tunneling. As for the logs policy, the company keeps logs for 30 days.
