Ever since Netflix’s war against VPN services began, we cannot remember the last time we streamed Netflix using a VPN without any hassle. Lately, we have introduced regular tests designed to check whether the most popular VPN services still work with Netflix and the results are disappointing more often than not. Netflix is blacklisting servers at the speed of light and VPN services have to work hard to keep up. In this post, we will report on our most recent findings regarding VyprVPN’s ability to provide its users with the possibility to stream US Netflix.

The shortest possible answer to the question of whether VyprVPN works with Netflix is: yes, it does. However, it is not that simple. The official website claims that Vypr unlocks Netflix US, UK, Canada, and Germany. During our tests, we were able to stream the last three without any problems, but Netflix US did not even allow us to enter the site, let alone watch any content. We tried all eight servers in the US without any success.
This is a known issue when using OpenVPN and Chameleon protocols, but we were unable to establish a connection even after implementing the suggested changes. We also tried using L2TP/IPsec and even PPTP in order to keep all the bases covered, but this did not change the final outcome.
Bottom line, you can use VyprVPN to stream Netflix Canda, UK, and Germany, but the US version is unavailable at the moment. We also have to warn you that streaming Netflix on a mobile device using VyprVPN is not really possible. Instead, you should opt for desktop or laptop and be patient when going through the service’s list of US servers. It might not be as effortless as we would all like it to be, but at least it is still possible to stream Netflix using this service. Most VPN services out there no longer offer this option, so we have to praise VyprVPN for still going strong and fighting for its users’ (questionable) right to unblock any content they want to access.
